Today we feature Zimbabwean designer Nicole Hayley

July 15, 2014

The vibrant colours and rich textures of the African artwork and the leathers have always enthralled her. In 2013 she started her business, her aim to combine them in a designer bag collection, her heart’s desire to showcase all that is amazing about the African continent she calls home.

Her fashion label is aimed at meeting the needs of the modern, sophisticated woman who desires a quality, fashionable product. The label is inspired by the richness of African art and each collection showcases African fabric and art designs. The bags are handmade in Cape Town, South Africa.

"I consider my work a modern brand with a contemporary African twist. My designs are for people who are looking for something uniquely different which is proudly African made. My products are made ethically and I source high quality local materials." – Nicole Hayley

"My vision for my label is to showcase the richness of the continent I love through the local materials and the fabric designs I use in my bags. Each collection will incorporate a piece of artwork made by local craftsmen.  This will not be included in the costing of the bags and will be a “pay it forward” gift."
