Bushfire Festival - The Most Successful to Date

June 02, 2015

From May 29th to the 31st, SWAZILAND held its annual MTN BUSHFIRE MUSIC FESTIVAL bringing together not only people from all over Africa but also from all over the world. MAPP Africa could not miss the opportunity to attend this amazing festival!

Each of the three days had a handful of great surprises, from performances and gastronomy to people and marketplace exhibitions. Both the outdoor and indoor stages were on high demand at all times, delivering the best music for all musical tastes. Bands such as Freshly Ground, The Soil, Banda Kakana, and Casper Nyovest were the biggest highlights of the festival. They performed popular songs that had the crowd sing along to every word.

International bands such as Les Nubians, The Black Jesus Experience, True VibeNation and many others also made themselves present. They all brought new sounds that captured the attention of diverse crowds that screamed for encores at the end of each performance.

With the amazing warm weather during the day, the fire was surely felt just by looking at all people there. There was amazing food and drinks from all over the world, such as the irresistible CHEESA NHAMA (Swazi famous brai) and the popular Swazi Beer "SIBEBE".

Words are surely not enough to explain the SUCCESS of this year's BUSHFIRE FESTIVAL. The Bushfire team deserves all the possible compliments for such a well organized event, which will surely be the main topic of most people's conversations for weeks to come.

We are already curious to see what #BUSHFIRE2016 holds for us!!!
