#MFW2015: 10 Amazing Days of Fashion in Mozambique

December 19, 2015

MFW

From December 3rd to 13th, the land of the good people hosted it's much anticipated fashion event Mozambique Fashion Week 2015, #MFW2015. Once again MAPP Africa was there to cover the best runway moments, parties and highlights of the amazing fashion days.
To the surprise of many, this years #MFW2015 had a big take over by the young designers who brought the best of their creativity to the runways. New designers such as Abudul Murade, Ian Zaqueu, Tawila Elgar Miles, Dicapu and the big winner, Omar Adelino, were the big highlights of this years #MFW2015.
At the same time, established designers did not fail to impress, proving to all attendees why they deserve such prestige. Notable fashion designers Pinto Musica, Tausse Daniel and Shazia Adams owned it, showing perfection and innovation in their collections.
The #MFW2015 also had the pleasure of showcasing collections from international designers who added more magic to the show. From Zimbabwe's Kudakwashe Chigariro to Japan's Kyuten Kawashima, and the very much respected Miguel Viera from Portugal.

In between the beautiful collections, Mozambique's musical talents hit the stage. There were unforgettable performances by Mozambican musicians like Skalled, Ubaka, Miss Diddy, Miss Zav, Mimae, Liloca and many others.
The runway shows were not the only hot thing happening during the 10 amazing days of fashion. The best after parties also took place, organized by the very well known MJ. The dance floors were hyped by local and international DJ's Superman, Willy Monfret, Tushimitsu, Diogo Miranda and many more who had the city awake 'til the early hours of the morning.
#MFW2015 was a true success and MAPP Africa couldn't be happier to have been there to witness such an extravagant event. We're already looking forward to being there for next year's #MFW2016.
