The young artists from Lilongwe, Malawi ith an average age of 15, Royal Family is the youngest music collective in their country. Their real names are "Pemphero Mwansambo, Charles Mwansambo, Nohakhelha Chaweza". They all met and discovered their skills in music while in school at Kalibu Academy. Set up in early 2015, Royal Family is using the adept AK-on-the-Board as a producer for their music.
Their latest single "I got you" is a new-school feel of a song that sees the youthful Pemphero Mwansambo crooning on the chorus in ways that belies her age, laying down a solid foundation for the rappers in the collective to express themselves so well.
The rhymes on the song give the song a mature feel; collectively they make the song a refreshing blend of playful and yet thought-provoking composition. Royal Family is poised to make a lasting impression on Malawi's growing music industry.
